The Louvre - Sculpture Ancien

 

I suppose everyone is grateful to Napoleon for ransacking the ancient world for collectibles, but really, they should send it all back . . . 8^) . . . I waited for several minutes to get a picture of Cupid & Psyche without tourists in the background, without luck.

 

Aphrodite as always makes an excellent study for sculpture, I am sure you agree . . .

The deer dresser makes for a different kind of venality, I guess . . .

 

I didn't think I would forget the name of the poet in the bust, but I did . . . .I'm pretty sure the last two are Plato & Heroditus
