Café Pointa
Bruschetta . . . seriously on sliced-bread-toast? Tomatos were fine.
Mrs had a spicy spaghetti. She enjoyed hers the most of we three.
Big Red had a pesto-basil spaghetti . . . supposed to have pine nuts, too, but didn't . . .
I had Oligio Spaghetti . . . some tiny spice to it . . . seemed "dry" . ..

Nota Bene
Gotta have a reservation to get into Nota Bene . . .
we took the fam to see what's what . . ..
missed the first round of beers . . . they had 5 on tap . . . an APA (american IPA), a Stout (21%, whew!), a hefe-weisse, medove lager (honey); and a plain lager . . . these are pictures of the stout and the hefe-weisse;
oooh. I had something I would describe as lapin au vin . . . rabbit in red wine . . . 8^D . . . very nice . . . Sugar & Monica had the Steak Tartar; Mrs had the salmon filet on ratatouie with balsamic reduction; then SiL & Nana had the filet mignon svickova, which didn't look like any svickova I've ever seen, but the meat was 1st rate, and the sauce was genuine . . . just no cranberry jam or whip cream . . .
Belleview Restaurant, Prague
wanted to hit Klášterní pivovar Strahov to sample the Sv. Norbert brew again, but they were jam-packed with tourists . . . so we went thru to the hillside overlooking prague with a wonderful view of prague . . . but, *only* pilsner urquelll on draft . . . 8^) . . . we all had cabbage soup as a light lunch to leave room for our dinner at nota bene . . . was pretty good . . . SiL also ordered this bread & bacon dish, which name escapes us now . .. the crusty bread was fine, but there were some semi-cooked bits we didn't care for at all . . .
Aromi, Prague
Aromi, Aromi again . . .
A very "strong" chardonnay, chosen by our favorite waiter, Leon, to go with the Turbot we ordered . . . remindedme of the bold chardonnays we used to get in Oz . . .
oh, a terrible pic of the seafood antipasto . . . calamari cooked in its own ink, on the right; crayfish with green tomatos; and some large prawns . . . all very good . . .very very good . . .
also included some mussels cooked in white wine, garlic, & butter . . . not meunier, but delicious . . . didn't soak up any of the juice with bread, we had too much coming . . .
such as the pumpkin risotto with salted herring . . . I'm glad we had it, the risotto was as good as ever at Aromi, but I don't really care for salted herring -- had to try it, but -- didn't go very well with the wine, neither . . .
not very good picture of the turbot as cooked in butter & lemon & garlic . . .
never had the duck before there . . . worth it . . . totally!
the turbot after it was skint & plated . . . even the potato was good . . .
but mrs always insists on the grilled vegetables . . . especially the fennel . . . 8^)
Zebra Prague
a little disappointed in Zebra . . .
vietnamese roll was weird . . . and I tho't incomplete, till I added the orange rooster chili sauce . . . too soft, hard to eat with chopsticks or fingers . . .
dim sum dumplings were better . . . .
fried shrimp sushi rolls were fine, not as good as the crunch rolls at sakura, but very, very good. . . .
Mrs Glass Noodle stir fry with vegetables & prawns was nice, too . . . morethan she could eat, so I finished up, cheerfully . . .

Aromi, Prague
had our favorite waitress help us choose a wine to go with the seafood we'd chosen . . . very minerally, very fine . . .
ummmmm, seafood soup was weird, too weird for me . . . broth was fine, but the seafood was raw . . .
mrs had bruschetta with smoky tomatoes and soft white cheese . . . no complaints here, only compliments . . .
we had sea-bream for two with grilled vegetables --- enough for 3, at least, probably 4, to leave room for dessert...8^) . . .
Maitrea, Prague
Vegetarian Nosh after Yoga!
the perfectly fine guacamole they bizarrely serve with mayo / aioli & bread ???
We like a rylink!
Vegetarian Burrito -- black beans . . . 8^/ . . .
Raw Spaghetti -- Mrs Loves it.
Mood Restaurant, Prague
dinner party with friends, one of whom provided special wines from his cellar . . . 8^) . . .
the ribs were good-as-standard , , , they just didn't photo well tonite...
the grilled octopus on risoto was good, but overpriced & skimpy on the octopus, just IMVHO . . . 8^/ . . .
the burger that Brewsta Raves about . . . does look good . . . 8^) . . .
for rib-diners, they provide these towelette tablets that expand in water to hand size . . . 8^0 . . .
desserts!
