Restaurant De Kas, Amsterdam

Located in a park, out from downtown . . .
Hors d'oerves with our Moet & Chandon appertif included these Pickled Green Olives and Mushrooms.
Appetiser/Starters included an amazing trio: Cannelloni, Salmon, and Oyster with a mildly picquant sauce. The cannelloni was our consensus fave, despite all odds and our inclinations.
The main was mackerel with tempura prawns and 3 kinds of beetroot. Mackerel must just be too oily for me, it upsets my tummy every time, no matter how much I enjoy it eating
Dessert was awfully light, citrus fruit with vanilla ice cream served on a cookie-hard merringue pedestal.

There were baby ducks outside the restaurant, by the water, and storks on the chimneys.
