Athens Day 4

So, brekky at the hotel buffet . . . good but not good enough to photo or blog . . .
then off again to Glyfada . . .
On the tee by 9; back at the hotel by 1. . . pretty good . . .
Mrs had an idea for lunch, so we hoofed it directly over there . . . well, stopped off for another IHT, then to Thisio, the trendy tourist area at the foot of the Acropolis . . . wasn't sure where we were going, and I did get weary (after my walking round at Glyfada), despite my eternal fascination with the shops and restaurants. . . . finally we arrived at Filistron . . . dang, don't they have a website? . . . well, they have a michelin star, so maybe they don't need a web site . . . 8^D . . .

These menus are worth examining . . .

The bread was great . . . especially these crusty rings, but I'm not sure how one is supposed to dip into the olive oil.
We asked for Prosecco, but they had this instead . . . no sacrifice involved, if you see what I mean . . .
First appetiser was grilled octopus with spicy picante sauce and pickled olive relish. I think I been letting a lot of substandard grilled octopus slide by, but no apologies nor excuses were necessary here.
Then a traditional mushroom pie. I mean, we love mushrooms. We can't wait till mushroom hunting season in Czech Republic next Fall, so we can hand pick some goodies, but our imagination was stretched by how good this was and whether -- we asked ourselves -- we could duplicate it at home.
I had chicken & figs over a roasted potato pie . . . it's all kinduva blur to me by this point, where one sense, common sense, is registering TOO MUCH, but the other 5 senses are registering MORE MORE MORE.
Mrs had pork roasted with lime, basil, pine apple, green apple, cucumber, and coriander.
No room for dessert. This place would be awesome for dinner at sunset on the terrace looking out onto the acropolis . . . was still a little cold yet to do that, but the other web reviews all talk about it. . . .must be something. .  .8^)
