Garden Chinese - Near Opatov

Variously called HotPot / Steamboat -- in English . . . I don't know how many names it has in chinese . . . 8^) . . . was just awesome . . . like Korean BBQ, only in a steaming bowl, if you see how I mean . . . our hostess is from Taiwan, so she organized this banquet, which would have been beyond our culinary and linguistic skills . . .but she said, "They (the people in the restaurant) are really Thai, and they don't speak chinese that well, but the food is good!"

The dark side of the pot is spicy, the other side less so . . . and its a marvelously social and entertaining exercise to toss your food into the boil, then pluck it out in friendly competition with the others at the table . . . 8^D . . .

We had chicken feet, too, something neglected on our palate for years . . .
