salmon sushi has changed . . . usta be served on a bed of very green wasabi mashed potatoes . . . very, very nice . . . but this is nice too . . .  I had the lamb-kebabs with couscous . . . very nice summer lunch, enjoyed al fresco . . .

Sushi Tam Da, Prague

never went before, because it was "too cheap to be good", but now we know this was foolish . . . very fresh seafood sushi . . . excellent Tom Yum Kung (not better than Siam Orchid), and very, very reasonable prices . . . what we did, was, a week later, pick up a couple of sets to go as our picnic on the overnight train to Amsterdam, along with a couple of bottles of prosecco . . . now THAT is the way to travel . . .

Wynand Fockink, Amsterdam

On a narrow side street just off the Dam . . . not really hidden, but not in the open, either . . .  genever-based liqueurs for 2 or 3 euros . . . they fill the glass to the brim, so that the ritual includes genuflecting to the bar to sip off the top  . . . don't do early in the day . . .  8^D . . . I had a Half & Half, which was invented by mistake, and almost got the bartender fired, but now it's their #1 seller . . . Mrs had Czech Apricot flavored . . .

Pad Thai. Very Good. Brewsta recommends as the best in Prague . . . might be . . . better than even Siam Orchid, but not in the running for world competition . . .
