Dali Pizza, Flora, Prague

most of the time, I feel like I've eaten all the pizza in my life I ever want to eat, but then there are times, when convenience dictates running around the corner to Dali for a pizza . . . and we like having that Plan B option convenient, so it behooves us to patronize them often, if not regularly -- not that Dali Pizza needs our regular business to stay in business, but still, if you see how I mean . .  .
Mrs gets the vegetarian, extra palive, with extra cerverny papricka . . .

and likewise, I get the pikantni, extra palive, with extra cerveny papricka . . .

Aromi

We usually have sea food of one sort or another, but this time we switched to two new menu items, red meat, Mrs had the Venison on pumpkin puree' . .  .Nicky our favorite waitress tipped us to the treat of venison spiced with cinnamon . . . paired with the pumkin, it was just crazy . . . had a very nice complementary sangiovese by the glass paired with it . . .
I had the veal on polenta, but more like grits if you see how I mean . . . very nice . . .

Foam Photography Museum -- Amsterdam

Since Sugar is into Photography so much, we hadda hit the Foam again . . . something great there always . . .
now, they don't like you taking pix there, but I was surreptitious (as can be seen by the quality),
which works to this degree:
you should go too,
spurred by these images acceptable only in the Miroslav Tichy sense,
if you see how I mean
'That's not really Frida is it?'
'no, she's too pretty.'

OOOOOh. Primary Colours!

Oh, Im peeved how poorly this one turned out.

Sylvia Krystel . . .
Can never be called Most Beautiful Worst Actress,
because Pia Zadora.

Brasserie Harkema, Amsterdam

eaten there once before, it was  great, so we were happy to be able to show Bitsy to it.

Mrs had a salad nicoise with fresh tuna . . . remarkable, those large white sticks are potato, we finally decided, cooked just enough to make them salad-y, without becoming fragile.

Sugar had the caesar salad. I'm sure it was nice, but I require my caesar salad to be made tableside . . .
if you know what I mean . . .

Bitsy had the fried pastrami with sauerkraut . . .sort of like a reuben with no bread?

Very nice hamburger.and fries.

Le Cavlier Bleu, Paris

As we past the Pompidou Centre, we started getting hungry . . .
so on one corner, we just launched into the cafe that seemed to be busy enough to be good, but not so busy we couldn't get in . . . 8^) . . .

our carafes of water and white wine, pouilly fume, to go with my fish . . . per the waiter's reco . . . .

plaice, I think smothered in wine-butter sauce with mussels, and saffron rice . . . I would say this is not michelin quality, but what ever is just next to it . . . I could eat there every day, I bet . . .

all the girls had quiche (Tick!) which they raved of its fluffy texture . . .

we are always amazed how easy it is to find good food in France -- and conversely, how hard it is to find bad food . . .

American Book Centre, Amsterdam

the book in the middle is a looming best-seller, conversation starter, and aesthetic game changer . .  .
